Default STR suspension upgrade options

Hi forum, i am thinking about upgrading the suspension on my STR 2002. It is not as good anymore and i want something more stable and stiff.
I have searched but not found any new kits to buy, all i find is used parts.
What options is there? Can you replace with ordinary suspension and ”bypass” the CATS? Pleas reply with ideas or if you have already done some upgrades.

Keep the CATS. Buy new parts.

Some of the things you put forward would be much worse.

hi
fit new cats dampers and fit new uprated springs, you get the best of both world
comfort when driven normal and stiffer when driven at speed

yes just unplug the module and use non cats stype struts. they’re like 90 bucks each on rock auto

or get XF cats struts and don’t plug in the connector. cheap and probably the stiffest on the market

Stay with the std. CATS shocks & springs. Jaguar did a great job making the car handle as well as it does. I bit the bullet & renewed them all - what a transformation & corners very flat. Didn't go with lowering springs as a) alters the camber out of range & b) it doesn't need it.

Did you replace or revalve the original struts? How much did that run you?

Quite a bit however, I don't plan on doing it again <fingers crossed>. I was on my 2nd or 3rd set of used shocks on original springs. It really needed a refresh, so I replaced all shocks, springs & stops for new. Obviously I always maintain bushes & keep the tracking set.
The shocks & springs cost about the same no matter where you buy them, be it Jag, Bilstein or indie.
EDIT:- I don't think there's much difference in price between new & revalving & that's if you can get it done.

As a first step maybe just unhook the CATS wires as that defaults the system to full stiffness?
See if that makes the car handle any better.
Probably should have said that differently?
