STR Tailamp needed
My 03 STR was likley struck in the rear sometime in its previous life. The repair included installing a standard S type passenger side tail lamp. My cat goes in for paint soon and neither I or the shop have found a STR specfic taillamp. Can anyone offer one or suggest a souce?
1. do I keep the unmatched pair for now and move on with fresh Jaguar Racing Green or
2. replace the correct assembly on the drivers side with a standard S and at least have a matching pair?
Jag owners opinions are highly valued

I've seen them on ebay, just not often. Wreckers will also have them, but not many. The STR is quite uncommon, that's all. I'd want the STR ones, but not at any price.
Possibly try a wrecker (we say scrapyard or breaker) over here such as eurojag (apparently they break a LOT of jags).

Thx guys,
I have been searching all the usual places..but no luck. Well one from Calif but I will not pay $400.00 for the difference between a Stype and the R lamp. If my R was a collectable or show car like my vintage Lotus then money is not an issue. But I drive this beast, it sits out in the weather and it was moded a bit before I bought it. So being correct to factory specs is not so important. Maybe I will replace the correct R item on the drivers side with a S and sell the factory lamp. there seems to be a scarey market for them.
Mike, better keep your STR under lock and key, the tailamps maybe worth a grand by themselves..maybe we can met again for dinner sometime.

Thx guys..will definitly try Coventry...there was a forum member ( Geroge aka Androulakis) who had bought a wrecked STR and was parting it out from New Jersey. But he disappeared from his thread "Ok who wants STR Parts" a few days ago and I have not heard from him. Anyone know if the guy is OK or just doing other things.

Have you checked with Nalley Jaguar? I got one for my 2005 STR from Dan for under $200. I have found MANY used parts being sold at higher prices that new. The sellers are taking advantage of Jaguar owners lack of knowledge.
ALWAYS check the dealer first!!
This is something new for me because all the other cheap American cars I drove before the Jag had used parts that were much cheaper than new.
