Default Supercharger Remove and Re-Install....?'s

Guys

I have read through the faq regarding the supercharger/coolant issue - which given the large puddle of coolant under the car toward the rear of the engine, I'm guessing is a path I'm about to pursue - one of the few things that I couldn't find information on was a parts list.

I realize that each case here would be different in terms of which hoses/all hoses/which clips/which clamps/EGR/No EGR, but in general can anyone provide a relatively thorough list of Parts?

Also, as a bit of a followup, I've got the JTIS CD working on my 32bit machine, and I'm wondering if it might be able to provide PN information?

When I start chasing/ordering parts to pull this off, I'd like to be doing so with some knowledge of what I might actually need, vs. relying on the dealership to tell me what I would require.....just to keep 'em honest.

Any help with these questions would be greatly appreciated. As always, great group and thanks for the help...

Joe

Get your VIN and call the forum sponsor Nalley Jaguar (Roswell GA) mention you're a forum member and they'll give you a 15% discount and hook you up with all the required parts...I think I paid $129 shipped for all 4 hoses (3 were just in case items I ended up returning) and all required gaskets from them...They're generally the cheapest as long as it's a Jag part...If they make a ford cross-over part like the ignition coils or the DCCV, you can find Ford p/n cheaper on Amazon/rockauto/ebay...

I didn't get the EGR...

Bacardi is spot-on. You could also PM forum member "ttwotees". He of all people should know and have a parts list plus wisdom for such an endeavor.

You could download JEPC and look up the various exploded diagrams (various web sites have some similar) but do input your VIN.

Look for threads by Bull27 as I think he posted parts & costs.

Thanks guys.

I've purchased all my bits from Nalley (in the past), so no worries there. I was kind of a little scared regarding cost, as I also have the "squeaking" pulley issue, and need to do to the belt/pulley update as well - and that cost was not nearly as palatable as what we're discussing here.....

JagV8 - I'll look into the JEPC, hadn't heard of that one.....be nice to have PN's associated with a task in the JTIS.....

Joe, what year is your car? If you have an 05+ your STR came from the factory with the updated and just need the belt...

Ditto to Bacardi. And even if you don't have the pulley upgrade just pop on a better belt. I and many others here performed this small feat and...wha la!

The 2005 STR was changed mid-year. My 2005 STR required the belt and pulley upgrade. It was done under warranty.

Use the JEPC but be sure and have the parts guy to double check all the part numbers. As you know Jaguar really makes changes based on your VIN serial number more than just plain year of production. It does help the parts guy get started so I try to provide part numbers and then he only has to check them. Even then I have had several wrong parts to deal with.
