Testing if engine rotates - 4.2 S type
Will be looking at a 2005 S type 4.2 that's been sitting for over a year in storage (pawn shop) and it has dead battery so no crank condition. I want to see if crank will rotate. Armed with a floor jack, correct socket and a breaker bar, is there access to the pulley from underneath or does stuff have to come off first?
Maybe bringing a charged battery is easier assuming there are no security features that are enabled that would prevent a crank test. Thanks
PS: whats the socket 32 mm??

Just hook power to it and crank it! Honestly, it's just been a year, check the oil and if it looks good just try firing it. Hopefully it's been inside, but if it were driven there, it'll likely be good. These engines don't have cam belts, so no worries with one breaking.
