Default TPS Installation

Is there a correct way to replace a TPS sensor on an S Type? I replaced one and my RPM's improved, but not enough. Turns out it was the incorrect part number. I have a new one, but before I install it, I'd like expert advice.

I have read on the Jaguar Fourm many things and I tried them on the One (wrong Part #) after my first start, but no change.

I've read, "TURN THE KEY ON FOR THREE MINUTES", or "PRESS THE PEDAL THREE TIMES SLOWLY", and other suggestions. Is there something I should do special or just change the part and hope for the best?

Thank you all for your guidance.

I should mention that original code that I had was P2135, however when I changed it with the other one (incorrect one) the P2135 code cleared, but a P0222 came on.

Low voltage.

Generally no-one changes them. So long as you use the correct part (with ignition fully off of course) I guess it should just work.

You say "sensor" but there are two - packaged together?

If you're using the pedal you're talking about APP not TPS.

Could you have another wrong one? Maybe get one from a wrecked S-Type (of your model) as it will at least be the right kind.

I'm talking about the one on the Throttle Body. I see there are oblong holes for adjustment. Does anyone know what the correct voltage should be?

I did mark the position of the original TPS.

Have you read the sticky at the top of the forum about throttle range calibration? Might apply to your situation?
Would not hurt to try it anyway?

I've checked or done all the things suggested, but no fixes. I'm closing this thread and will be starting a new on . . . "Stumped".

Thank you.
