Default Trunk not Opening, Engine Code

I have a 2004 S-Type 3.0 with 85,000 miles. I was getting 11 engine codes and located a cracked hose and replaced it. It fixed most problems but still runs bad when barely pushing gas and getting P1000 and P0420. Also the trunk will not open unless you manually use the key. It wont open with the interior button or key button. Thought it might be the rear module that just makes a clicking sound but still have problem and still clicks. Any suggestions?

As far as running bad, have you checked your IMT O-rings?

Trunk: have you tried the valet button in the glovebox?

just off the top of my head.

Read on P1000 here (Search) and/or in the codes PDF (FAQs)

If the solenoid is activating I guess the next thing is to strip it all apart and grease the various joints etc. I'd check it operates when apart before reassembly.

Good call on the IMT rings. There is a good amount of oil underneath the intake manifold. Would this oil leak be responsible for the engine code P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1). And Im thinking that its also responsible for the air vents blowing out white smoke that smells ridiculously raunchy and white smoke coming from passenger side engine compartment sometimes. Possibly burning oil when dripping?

I don't see how it could relate to P0420 (see my other reply / FAQs). The smoke, yes if it's a burning oil smell.
