Default Weird\Strange parasitic battery drain - SOLVED

After not running the car for 7 days, battery was almost flat. Since it was fairly new, had my indy check it out. Since every time you pull\replace a fuse, you have to wait for an hour for the system to go to "rest" they pulled every fuse and would check the circuits for each fuse. With all fuses out, there was still a small drain every 32 seconds (like clockwork). They found that the previous owner (or his very suspicious wife ) had installed a GPS tracking\anti-theft device that sent a signal to some satellite every 32 seconds. It was a very professional install that you would never have noticed unless you went searching for a battery drain. So - if there is a drain and it's not the usual suspects (key entry, etc) this could be the culprit!! Somewhere there's a satellite missing it's signal............................

I don't know about the rest of you, but that just creeps me out

Kind of like the "lost iphone" service, but different...

The idea that it would let you find your car if stolen is great (*) - but the battery drain isn't!!

Thanks for the post.

(*) or so lease companies can recover a car when payments are overdue
