Default Where to get AT service manual for 03 S-type 3.0?

I have some transmission problems. It transmission the same model for V8 an V6 engines?
Hopefully I wouldn't have to rebuild it.

P.S. It is later 03 model, over M45xxx VIN

Your vehicle is fitted with the ZF 6HP26 gearbox. Here is a link to the information on overhaul and servicing the unit:

Is that you on your avatar repairing V12?
I spent hours trying to buy it from tradebit. Lucky me it didn't work.

I spent many years assembling racing gearboxes and as an apprentice with the ingegnere whose picture is the avatar. Sadly he passed on a few years ago, so I use a picture of him working on an engine from a 365 GTB/4 LM in his honour.

I hope the ZF information helps you.

At that time, the racing cars used manual gearboxes, however, I have repaired automatic ZF gearboxes for friends with German cars if that is the meaning of your question.

If you search this forum, there are several good threads with information on the ZF 6HP26 and 6HP28 gearboxes.

Do you have clutch compressor? I think, cheapest one is about $150
I rebuilt 2.5 ATs and used 2 C-clamps
