Id appreciate comments on the following.

Jaguar 2001 S-Type 3.0 V6

The only code showing is p1584

On ignition position 2 I have:

MIL light on
Low Washer fluid (ok I know that one lol)
Gearbox Fault.... yes the TFT sensor is broken no code though
Engine Failsafe mode

On Start up revs come down normaly 750 rpm and the cooling fan goes to max.

STFT and LTFT on both banks +- 3 max usual 1.6 fluctuating.

TPS shows 11%-79% throttle range

O2 sensors pre cat fluctuating v after cat steady .8v

On driving car drives normaly, sport mode works and cruise control works. If it was having issues with controlling the TB surely it wouldnt allow cruise control?

ok so Ive taken a punt on used throttle body (€122) which the seller is garaunteeing for 12 months. Will see what that brings.

 

I don't know what a TFT is? Can you explain?

If your used TB does not work I would send my original in to be rebuilt. That way you know it's the correct one.

Just a quick update. Received the 2nd hand throttle body and fitted it. P1584 is now gone as have the other faults, except of course the Gearbox light.
