Default ZF Transmission Question

Sorry if this has been discussed but I tried searching before starting a thread but couldn't find anything.

I'm still in the learning process. Have car less than 1 month.

Here's the question: Normally, the tranny shifts smoothly but sometimes when making a turn after stopping, it will stay in 1st gear too long and rev up very high before finally shifting to 2nd. This happens even with very light throttle pressure.

Is this something in the design or is there a malfunction.

Thanks

Sounds like a little bit of transmission slip. Replace the fluid and filter, as your filter may be plugged.

Hard to know if they filled it properly, then

It's a critical process, as HOW TOs explain.

As stated above I would verify the level and if the filter was changed. A fluid change without a filter is useless.

Also ask if the TCM was reflashed.

Mine does the same thing and it usually shifts somewhat harsh in 1st to 2nd. Keep us posted and good luck on finding out the issue.

As always take a look at the "Lurch" to see if anything matches what your car is doing.

The guy is off the deep end but he did buy it new which was his first mistake!!
