Default 2006 XKR dead battery and can't open boot

This seems to be a common problem since I have looked at several threads. Unfortunately, I am "just a girl" who knows very little about cars. This model does not have a manual keyhole for the boot as far as I can tell. I have seen some posts about alternative methods for charging the car enough to get the trunk open, but none that is specific to this model. Can anyone assist with this? I have seen some "fixes" as simple as getting a charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter, but several people commented that this did not work for them.

Check in/on/around the JAGUAR XK8 emblems on the back of car, the key hole is there.

On your model on that back of car in the XK8 emblem the key hole is in the number 8 of Xk8 I think.

It's us early guys that need to "jump" our trunks. The later cars can use a key.

Another method, in case, some trickle chargers have a cigar lighter charging hook up. With time enough to pop the lid...

My '97 has key access to the trunk.

It shows that in my Owners manual that is original to my car. The guy designing the trunk look must have missed the launch deadline.

When you do get into the trunk. ... DO NOT try and jump start the car. That can cause all kinds o electronic module problems. Disconnect the battery and then charge it.
