Found My Coolant Leak
Well the mysterious coolant loss has revealed itself in full force last night. The large hose under the intake manifold on the driver's side let go and keeps coolant out of the engine. Has anyone replaced this hose without removing the SC and intake manifold?
You'll have to remove it and replace both lines, its not hard, don't be intimidated. Just do a search "supercharger coolant lines", you'll come across a number of threads...here's one that'll probably answer what you want. Gopi went into some detail, so I started you on page 2...https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-160413/page2/
I also wrapped mine with foil when I did mine the first of the year. Pay attention to post #34 where he shows the hose size difference and my reply in #35.

Please trust that I'm in the correct forum. It's a '98 XJR...

So far, the coolant reservoir and manifold, are off. Bolts loosened for top of SC just finding my way around the engine bay. Snapped line to radiator DOH! Should've disconnected it from the start...sigh...had to stop due to rise in temperature outside. Becoming a bit much to work in...a little ways to go but it's getting there 😀 think I will just remove SC and throttle body to get the hoses out.
Tomorrow the belt and throttle body will come off as well as the SC. I'll go to the auto parts store to match the diameter of the hoses, cut then bow them so there will be no kinks. At least that's the plan 😀
You'll want to check your pulleys and tensioners and if you need any new its real easy to just replace the bearing...https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...F8&psc=1...and much cheaper. I used a socket and a persuader to knock it out and back in, goes smooth and quick. I believe that bearing works on all the pulleys? Hopefully someone can verify that who has done them all?
I have a new supercharger belt available if you need one, just pm me.

Decided not to pull EGR but disconnect at the elbow. There is something I need help with. There is a hard line on the passenger side of the elbow and it doesn't have the connection to push out like the others. Anyone have suggestions?
...use fingernail to push o-ring in then gently pull. Jaguar...really? At least I know now so I'm passing it along.

Fully assembled, runs great...aside from the norma connector at water manifold deciding to give up the ghost...sigh. At least I can see it. Thanks everyone who has helped me through this. I've learned a lot about my car
Update:Temporary field patch on norma connector at water manifold...clipped hard line off at snapped connector end, used a cylindrical stereo wire connector with metal inside and pushed into hard line so it sits snugly, cut rubber hose to size, clamped onto end. Metal inside stereo connector keeps hard line from compressing. No leaks. This will keep you going until the new connector arrives...
