So it appears my P1121 only shows up on the weekends. You know, when I want to use the car for PLEASURE instead of work. All week it was fine. This morning, had to work for a bit before I get to go home and prep it for a group cruise tomorrow. And wouldn't you know it, as soon as I got to town where work is, tripped. Reset, tripped, reset, tripped. 4 times, in a half mile stretch. Grr. Friday can't get here soon enough.

Well car's back from paint, I'm very pleased w/ the paint work. But not so pleased that he did not keep my car on the tender. Now I have restricted performance w/ PO327 (knock sensor). I'm hoping it's just a residual from the battery drain. I have it on the charger now , we shall see.

I'll get more pics once I clean it up & sort my battery back out. Of course it rained as soon as I pull it from the garage lol.

Been a while since I've given it a nice cleaning. Certainly not flawless, but still cleans up well.

Default Thought I'd try the Montreals on the 98...

They need new rubber but hard to put Penta's back on..

After getting it shiny, drove it about 350 miles around the local scene, lakes and parks for a local car cruise. Completely trouble free, in temps that were 90 and above, and my P1121 didn't show up once. Thank goodness, because I would've felt embarrassed to have my passenger see that sorta thing! But the car performed perfectly, allowing me to plenty impress my lady friend with a perfect day!

My car got today Brembo discs, Ferodo Premier pads and Brembo brake fluid.
Old discs were toast and the car vibrated and shook when braking from highway speeds. Now silky smooth.

[I]My '01 XJR is factory mica Emerald. Like the rest of the car, the paint has held up superbly. It's a California car, never commuted in, and garaged nightly. I like the new-generation XJs and am aware what a bargain they are on the used market. But my current car has a far more comfortable ride and with 148k miles on the clock, it continues to run like a train. This coming fall I'm planning a 5,500 mile road trip to my home town in Eastern Ontario.

Replaced both fuel pumps AGAIN. Swapped them both out about a year ago due to faulty secondary, then Monday the primary s#!t the bed. FYI don't go with HFP brand pumps like I did unless you enjoy playing with those delightfully easy to reach fuel lines.
