Default Retrofit rain sensing wipers

Hi every one I have recently bought a 2005 STR which has not got Rain sensing wipers, so I want to add that on.
Has anyone done this retrofit mod ?
I have bought the Auto wiper stalk / Windscreen sensor / and the RAIN SENSOR MODULE, but I cant find out where it should go in the car.
Do you think the wiring is in place ?
Any help would be appreciated
Regards
Roger

No help here, but I'd be interested in the detail as I have an Arduino mini at the side of me, with rain sensor module etc and a plan of building my own auto wiper system to run in place of inters.

If the parts aren't vastly expensive and the retrofit is A) Simple to add on an early S, and B) Factory, I might go the route you're going down.

It's in the boot under the parcel shelf. Hopefully the wiring is there or it'll be a task.

I'm surprised a 2005 STR doesn't have it.

Mine has the feature but I find it far too sensitive (wipes too often & too fast) so do not use it. I advise not to retro-fit it.

Many thanks for the reply I was surprised as well.i was told it would be under the parcel shelf, but the company autoreserveparts who I bought the module from insisted it would be under the dashboard on the drivers side.

JTIS says under the parcel shelf but it doesen't seem very intuitive.

I use mine and they work ok most of the time, but I'm sure JagV8 and Mikey see a lot more rain than me.
