Default HVAC issues again

Hello everyone, I have a new issue to sort out. My Vanden Plas did not have functional hvac for the longest time, I replaced the climate control module with no practical result, then randomly it decided to work a week ago. Tonight I shut it off, and back to nothing. When I turn the knob to activate the system I hear a relay click and the sound of vacuum being applied but no lights on the panel and no blower motor. Any input would be appreciated. Its too hot to be without AC.

I'll update my own thread with a resolution, I took my old control unit, soldered a bridge wire across the two pins of the microswitch, and installed it, now I have lights, fans, and directional control. Therefore the "tested good" module I purchased is in need of a microswitch, and will be the recipient since it's got a much nicer faceplate than the original. Anybody know if I'll cause any damage running it like this for a while till I can find a switch locally?

Hi Mr. Hotrod,

If your hack has just replicated the "closed" position of the switch, I should think you can operate it continuously that way until you get a new switch.

Cheers,

Don
