2000 xj8, water pump, 55K+ miles on car.
Mechanic says to replace is $450. Mechanic busy, I can't bring in for a couple days. Cost sounds reasonable? Any other jaguar car buff in the new Hyde park Long Island area?
Car's had new transmission, fixed oil leak, new plugs, new fuel pump. I have all receipts. And new Michelin tires.
Ready to dump it, has some hail dings, anyone want for $2,000?

Mechanics can charge what they want. I know a mechanic in Astoria that would probably charge you less. The part is about $50 - $60, $30 coolant and the rest is labor unfortunately..
