Sure was hoping to find something posted here as I'm in the Seattle area and looking for some help or a good recommendation.

Wow here I get this nifty new title, and I'm already falling down on the job....
Welcome to the Forum Weaseldriver .

The Northwest part of this forum is still pretty new, so input form "those that know" is still rather scarce.
So far two have been mentioned, but on the south end. Might be worth looking into.

2.) European Auto Clinic

How much money you got?

Any place that ALSO does Aston-Martin, Bentley, Lambos...well, you get the idea.

In Port Hadlock you will find Circle and Square. I have no information about these folks other than driving by and seeing their shop so I can attest that the building is there....:-) I may have to have them do something at some point so it is good to know I don't have to drive to Seattle.

I live near European Motors on Steilacoom. I noticed their place while driving around one day. I stopped there to have a simple tail-light put in and a diagnostic because the heating system went out. I won't go back. I paid $157 and was given an estimate of $567 to replace the heater control valve. The next day I noticed the tail-light was still out (my fault I didn't check before I left but that's what 'trust' gets you). They were closed so I went to AutoZone on Bridgeport Way. The tech came out and checked and told me they didn't even replace the bulb. The same old one was still in and he showed it to me. For $10 he put a new one in for me (I could have done it myself but I was so angry I was shaking ). The man at AutoZone gave me the name of a mechanic who works on foreign cars and doesn't mind if you bring your own parts.

Before anyone says, "You should have gone back and demanded your money," etc...I'd rather just not give them anymore business.

I ended up buying my own control valve part online ($75) and taking it to...

He charged me $200 and fixed it perfectly! Plus he gave me a free old tire to make a tire swing for my grandson!

I can only recommend what my friends have since I haven't needed a mechanic much (nor one that specialized in European cars). But I will probably be seeing these places over the next few months and will update you on how well they do.

Auto Dynamics in Bellevue, WA
Auto Dynamix
This place I definitely trust. I've had work done here and it's always been honest, fast, and to the point. They fixed my friend's m5 for a fraction of the cost the dealer charged (and it STAYED fixed) and have handled every problem I threw at them honestly--including at one point fixing something for free because it only took a couple of minutes to fix.

CNC Auto Sports in Bellevue, WA
Mobile Car Electronics & Vehicle Performance Customization - CNC Autosports
Have had this place recommended to me by a friend (he drives a lambo and is not too lenient with who he allows to work on his car).

Foreign Car Workshop in West Seattle
West Seattle Auto Repairs, Service, & Tune Ups - Locally Owned
Have had this place recommended to me.

Eastside Auto Care in Redmond, WA
Eastside Auto Care - Complete Foreign and Domestic Auto Repair Service in Redmond, WA
Highly recommended by friends.

I've used Automeister in Issaquah in the past but they recently changed hands and the owner is really seedy.

You're not the only one. This place is a scam artist--several of my friends have been cheated by them and you only have to read the yelp reviews to see others that have as well.
