at start up, car idling I put my feet on brake and it stalls can anyone help

Chris: Can you give us a little more info, so the good folks of this forum can better assist you?

+ How many miles?

+ Automatic or Manual transmission?

+ How did the engine perform in the days and weeks before this stalling problem began?

+ What work, if any, was done on the car shortly before the stalling problem began?

+ Does it stall consistently, or occasionally?

+ Did the stalling problem begin gradually or suddenly?

+ Does it stall the same when the engine is cold and when it's warmed up to operating temperature?

+ If you drive it now, how does the engine run? Or can you not drive it because it always stalls every time you step on the brake to shift from Park to Drive or Reverse?

+ Can you prevent it from stalling by pressing LIGHTLY on the gas pedal with your right foot when you press on the brake with your left foot?

+ If you can, take a video of it stalling, post it on YouTube, then paste the URL link here.

 

ok I will try,i have 200,000 miles on it,auto trans,and it recently started stalling.no codes though I did get one once that said cam position sensor malfunction but it went away.i installed a new throttle body and adjusted it to idel but returned it to factory seting.I cant drive the car because if I touch the brake to put iy in gear it stalls out.

 

Did you install a new throttle body hoping to solve the stalling problem?

Or did stalling problem begin right after the new throttle body was installed?
