Default 2004 Navigation issues

Hi all

I am a new member but NOT a new jag owner..I have a 2004 black xtype sport 3.0,,

Well i am having a major pain with my navigation..My disc i believe is from 2006..My issue is I cannot imput a new address or use the navigation..I thiink it juist lets me click on previous destinations..If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated...

This might sound dumb but does it behave differently when you are at a full stop? Maybe it "thinks" you are still moving and is locking out that function.

i wish it was that..No I tried taking all fuses out and disconnecting battery..Nothing..I can get into previous dest or memory points and the nav works but i cannot click on the input new address button..Someone please help..thanks

2004, I know this might sound funny, but, do you have the correct region that you are living in selected? There are 10 zones that the US is divided up into. If you don't have the correct one selected, it can make inputting addresses a real pain and can make the system act funny.

Beyond that, I would say to try deleting some of your previous entries to see if it is simply a full memory inside the navigation system.

never thought of that thermo..Let me check tommorrow and i will let u know..Yea its a very weird situation..It has the input address button but i touch it and it does nothing...thank you though i will be sure to let you know

2004, is the button gray'ed out or is it the normal brightness. When the feature is turned off, it will be gray'ed out (not as bright as it normally). That will be something to pay attention to.

ok..i deleted everything..the disk is 2006-2007..The button is normal color..It lets me click on it but thats it..Does not do anything..It un-clicks itself like it wont let me go further,,I took disk out etc..I have no clue whats wrong
