Because a CD was forced into the CD player, it is very likely that damage was done to the tray mechanism of the player. So, unfortunately, without pulling the radio out, opening up the internals and fixing whatever is broken (provided you can get the pieces you need), the more likely option is simply replacing the radio.

I guess I need to ask, will the radio still pull a CD into the radio? If yes, then your most likely problem is with the laser head. If it won't pull a CD in, then you are looking at the insertion mechanism.

Removing the radio should be as simple as removing the trim from around the radio, removing the screws holding the radio into the dash and then sliding the radio straight out. Once you can access the back of the radio, undo the plugs and remove from the dash.

The trim around hazard switch pulls out, then remove ashtray and pull blanking trim piece out. Remove the 4 30 torx screws and remove whole unit. Then there is some 20 torx screws hold audio and climate modules together.
