Hello!

Well I put the 20mm spacers and sadly they rub. The back doesn't rub much only the inner plastic but the front fender got some. I'm probably going to take out the front spacers and leave the back.

Also tires wearing a little much on the inside....going to get an alignment now that the springs have settled.

I'll update on that as well..

Eastwood fender roller and heat gun will solve that. I wouldn't give up on the spacers yet.

I prefer my Melbourne BBS that are OEM fit but those look nice.

If it does rub (which I doubt since H&R springs won't lower you too much), then you may need to roll the rear fenders ever so slightly at the rear of the arch where it meets the back bumper.

Spacers will need to be custom-ordered from motorsport-tech.com and you will not need to modify lugs. You actually need to use your factory lugs with those wheels. Have them send you low profile lug nuts to attach the spacers to the car and wheels attach to the spacers (10 lugs total per corner - 5 to attach spacer and 5 factory to attach wheel to spacer).
I know this is an old thread, but I searched for, and used the information from it, and figure others will too.

To add this, there is no way that a 20mm spacer can be used with the factory fenders (or wings as we call them in the UK). I just tried this today with the Cygnus wheels (18"x8.5"), a 20mm spacer, and factory sports suspension. All was fine (and it looked good, though perhaps just a touch to much poke) until I hit a speed hump at 20mph, and shaved some tread blocks of my near new Michelin on the left hand front- the tyre is a 225/40/18.

The fender lip was a little warped at the leading edge near the front bumper join.

I will post up pictures later.

If you want to run a 20mm spacer on the front, you most definitely need to whip out the Eastwood fender roller.... and thats just on the factory sports suspension... I still have factory camber, so if you're lower than the factory sports suspension, I suspect you'd need additional negative camber.

There is also no way that a 20mm spacer would fit on the rear of the estate, unless again there was some significant camber- now I do have the adjustable upper rear arm (Volvo/Mazda 3 style) made by Hard Race installed, so I can crank up the negative camber in the rear... but I don't want the crap tire wear, so may stick to a 5mm spacer in the rear..

thats been my experience too with the 20mm front spacer, and thats with factory sports suspension (as mentioned above- only when on full deflection- i.e when I went over a speed hump at 20mph)

Agreed; any more than 5mm on the front, and rolled fenders are a must (using 225/40/18s perhaps with your 215/35s you may have gotten away with it; though I note you've since sold the car).
