If the OE modules etc are used then I think the above post can be disregarded.

 

What modules are you talking about? Can you please explain. Maybe I didn't read the entire thread correctly. I am only speaking to the components of a stereo system. As far as I know, and as far as multiple installers have quoted, a complete rewire is the route you need to go to install aftermarket components. By components, I mean head unit, speakers, amp, preamp, crossover, capacitor, etc, etc. I have read threads were there has been "upgrades" made to an xtype by installing a system from another Jag. Touch screen, speakers, amp. From one jag to another in the same year model range is one route you can go, but I wouldn't go through all of the trouble for that personally.

 

The post said cd changer. No need to jump through hoops for such.
