Default Different oil leak not the oil pan gasket

Ok, so I completed the oil pan gasket replacement successfully and did a test run... parked the X and looked under after about 30 minutes... wouldn't you know it another small puddle of oil... Got back under there and took a picture, cannot trace this leak at all.. Anyone have any ideas where to start or what it might be? thanks! Oil pan seal is bone dry though

Ok, just a long shot... and a hope! lol... Im wondering if I am having an overfill issue with the TC? I hear there is a vent, which if the TC oil gets hot it can boil out if there is too much in it?

Ok, as excellent as this forum is Im a bit surprised that none of the pros here have replied to my post yet

After carefully evaluating the leak area, it is dry on top and all around, it looks like the oil is coming right out of the spot that is circled in red. I am assuming this is where the TC mounts to the Tranny? There is most likely a seal in that connection that might be leaking?

As much as I had hoped that it would be the overfill valve, I don't think the valve is near this area?

PLEASE help. Thanks!

well, what you can do is clean it off with some wd40, brake cleaner, throttle body cleaner, somehting like that, start the car and get under it where you think it is coming from and and watch to see if you see where it is coming from. just an idea you can try.

Ok, took another can of carb cleaner, cleaned most of the area underneath. It has been sitting all night after I cleaned it without any trace of oil showing. Do I need to run the car to see the oil leak? It would seem that if there was a leaking seal that it would leak regardless if I had the car running or not. Since the oil leaks once the temp is up and car is driven, Can it still possibly be the overfill valve?

Thats the seal between the tc and trans. I hope you didnt pull the axle shaft or tc to do the pan oil pan gasket. Especially since the tc mount has a hole cut in it to access the back hard to get out bolt. This seal needs to be replace and the intwernal one for the axle shaft. Yes the tc has to come off to do. If the internal seal is leaking it mixes into the tc case lube and it will burn up since trans fluid is too light weight.
