First Auto Cross in the X!
You read right. I participated and joined the SCCA today while I was registering for the auto cross in deland florida today. The course was fast but you deff needed the handling as well. The jag was wonderful on the course. The car was sure footed around the couse and move wonderfuly through the cones and turns.
I had many people come up to me that watched the cat run and said for being such a heavy and small power plant car ( 2.5 auto) that the car looked very balanced and sure footed around the course!
I had a great experiance and am now looking for my next track date.

Nice one Scuba
take someone with you and a camcorder next time though
Sounds like the X handled herself well, but obviously if this is gonna be a regular thing, its gonna be extra maintenance, extra $$$ too.
Good luck though and I'm lookin forward to the vid

I did take some video. I had my buddy ride along in the passenger seat and video record. The only problem is most of the time he is recording the dash because of all the motions in the car! He did get some good outside video though and pictures. I will be posting them soon!

To the OP, where is Deland, FL? I live in Tallahassee and have been looking to start auto-X-ing. I've done one demo autocross event with Mercedes Benz at FSU and it was mind-blowing. I got to drive 3 different brand new benz's at full tilt through an auto-x course. They had professional racers in each car instructing you.
I've been wondering how that 60/40 awd would do in an autocross course, especially with a 4 speed?

The easiest way to post pics and vids is to use a site that you get an account and upload pics/vids to. I use picasa web album and photobucket. If you need further help let me know. Once you sign up on their site it's really easy to post. I've taught a few different people on here how to do it so like I said if you need help pm me.
