Default Fluid Leak! Oh No!!!

I just bought a used 2004 Jaguar x-type for a great price an I come out this morning and notice a puddle beneath the engine on the left side, I did a quick check and the color of it is brown so I'm thinking engine oil, is there anyone with an idea of where this may be coming from? Im going to take it in but I kind of want an idea of whats going on. Thanks in advance!

Default Most likely the leak is coming from the oil pan.

I have the same issue with my Jag. It's a small leak and my mechanic says it's the oil pan and the gasket needs to be changed. Here's the bad news due to the design issues the engine has to be lifted out to get to it.
