I have to remove the headlights from my car and fix them. Can anyone tell me if it's hard to get the front bumper off and do I need any special tools ? I'm pretty handy but I don't want to get 3/4 of the way through and be stymied by some special bolt or whatever.

Removing the front bumper cover is easy. YOu need 2 tools. You will need a 10mm socket and associated socket wrench. YOu will also need a set of torx bits (T-25 and T-27 bits specifically). Use the T-Bits to remove the plastic tray under the radiator (12 bolts or something like that). Next, undo the 2 lower bolts on the front side of the wheel well to detach the bumper cover from the liner. Next, remove the four 10mm bolts on the top side of the headlights. Finally, you will need to reach up behind the bumper cover just above the side marker light. There is a 10mm bolt on each side. REmove that and then pull out on the sides of the bumper cover. It will snap, but it will pop right out. From there, the bumper cover will be removeable from the car.

Do you need to remove the wheels and put it on jackstands to remove the front bumper or can it be done easily without doing that?
