I recently purchased a 2009 x type 2.1 sport. I have real issues finding the ignition lock at night as it is quite dark in that area. I was wondering whether there was supposed to be illumination near or around the ignition lock on this model and maybe mine has burned out? So please X type owners enlighten me - is there illumination specific to the ignition lock area on these models or is the absence of illumination in my case just an oversight in design?

 

 

None on my UK spec Sovereign. I don't think I have ever looked where the hole is to put in the key. Just goes in by touch. Or is this just me
