Jaaag, bank robbers car of choice
I got stopped about 3 yrs ago by the Norwegian plod one sunday morning. The female officer said my car flagged up on their system as being previously used in a bank robbery. I had a good laugh and told her it was unlikely, the previous owner was a pensioner and I had no need to rob a bank, then she said ok they must have cloned the reg number.
Last week driving home from work suddenly blue lights behind so I pulled over and when the again female officer came to the window I smiled and said I hadn’t robbed any banks, how did you know she said as she showed me her ipad with the cars details and it showing up as stolen. I told her this was old news and could they please update their system. But they were on the right track I said as Jaguars were notoriously the get away car of choice in bank heists as they were faster than the police cars back then. Interestingly on both occasions the officers were fascinated by the Jaguar interior and both said they thought it was a beautiful car.
