Guys,

I am still working on the kits. I just picked up some items to use as the control box. I still need the relay board stand offs and the long wires to run.

We will be using two LED strips (left and right) that are RGB (red, blue, green) to make all the colors we need. Reds and white for back up (blinking).

Work, woman, and winter have slowed me down on this. I did pull the parts off my car and it is tight back there.

Lets hope by spring.....

I did this on mine a couple of years ago

I used a 10.8v voltage regulator for normal lighting with a relay activated by the brake lights switching 12v to the LEDs

I used gelcoat to seal the letters and a resistor in line with each letter to balance the light level from each letter

This looks AMAZING!! Sorry that I haven't been on in a while but work has gotten crazy. Now I want to work on some dynamic turn signal lights (aside from the LED's behind the rear view mirrors.

I know the feeling Mike. We had a big layoff at work and I am going nutz!

I have a big box of parts to build just sitting on by bench......

Well, found and ordered this today. I will cut out the Jaguar plinth (too light it) and put some of my led strip left from hood, trunk, interior mod to match (color) the "driving" mode color of strip.

Possibly a silly question but how did you cut out the letter A and were able to keep , how shall I say the upper triangle in the letter A ?

In the other posts in this (if read thoroughly) it tells you, they leave a bit of metal at the top of the "A", as well as a small piece in the center of the cross bar of the "A".

Hi Dell,

Sorry I have not gotten back to you sooner. I am still working 6 days a week with very little time to play with cars other then to keep them running.

I did find a company in China that makes a kit like you got. They are sending me some of the controllers to test.

Good luck. Ordered mine December 18 & still not delivered. Shows sent via DGL ecommerce, but not update is available on progress (or lack thereof). Seller says sent, but no info. DHL said in automated response, they would respond in 24 hours = been 5 days. Not extraordinary concerned yet, bought it with Paypal.

So after 4 months of trying to buy the trunk strip posted above, I think I am done trying. 5 attempts, 2 lost in mail, 3 delivered that looked NOTHING like they advertised. My only consolation is the seller is losing their E-Bay store because of the problems.

First picture is what I wanted/purchased. Second is color of turn/emergency which is correct (red brake light also correct). Third is the "Ice blue" running light = actually lights GREEN. Fourth is the "bright white" backup light which lights up the same color as the turn/emergency = YELLOW. SMFH!!

So IF anyone could find this controller, you could design one yourself. The function works fine. Line to light red, running, backup, turn right & left, and strobe from center out on emergency blinkers.
