Hi All,

Recently i have the following problem with the Sunroof of my 2001 X-type:

When I press the Sunrooft button with the back arrow, the Sunroof does not perform any action. While when i press the Sunroof button with the front arrow, the Sunroof does open, but i have to hold the button until the Sunroof open/close completely.

The button with back arrow should open/close the Sunroof completely with one press.

Anyone know where was the problem, and which parts i have to replace?

The back arrow on my sunrrof does not work at all. The front arrow works, but it wont close the sunroof unless I do the 20 second reset (holding the front button for 20 seconds with the roof tilted open, then releaseing and pressing again to run through its segemt). Then it will close. I have to do this every time I want to seal the sunroof. Any ideas?

 

jsampson, I would venture to guess that the push button for the sunroof has died. If you want to troubleshoot the pushbutton, let me know. It would be a straight forward thing to do, just need a multimeter to do it.
