Default Question??? Disconnecting the battery

I just installed new plugs, IMT o-rings, and intake manifold gasket. Everything is working ok, except my outside temp runs all the way up to 105 degrees. It was never right to begin with, always about 9 degrees off. I was just wondering if I disconnected the battery to reset the system, would it have any effect on the outside temp setting. I like everything to work even if it's off a little, but this just goes to 105 and stays there. I have heat and I guess the A/C, will have to wait until summer. Anyone have any ideas. I checked all the area's I was working in, in case I jared a wire or connector, and I went over everything, but I couldn't find anything loose. Thanks for your help everyone.

Default

Probably a sensor problem. The sensor is clipped right in front of the radiator, you can see it in the front bumper opening by the splitter.

Default Sensor wire travel direction and connection

I've checked the sensor and followed the wires up until it goes into the headlight area. Without moving the battery, I can't see where the wire comes out at. As I was working (IMT o-rings, rear plugs, intake manifold), I had layed some tools down on that side, but I'm not sure what connection the sensor follows or where the wire travels threw the fire wall. Yes the sensor most likely is bad, since it always read about 9 degrees warmer than it really was out side. But this didn't happen til yesterday when I did this work, so I know I hit something or moved something to make the outside temp gauge go from 60 to 105 after the car hits running temp, in the matter of a minute.
