I have fitted a towbar on my estate 2.0 D but have trouble finding the wiring to connect to the 7 pins cable. Is there a plug? If not what are the color codes for stop, right/left reverse, and normal taillight. I have made a picture of the connector. Just like to know what color does what. And how to get the connector of the housing.

Search the pdf for "Trailer" for the location and color code of the towing harness. I suspect the Estate follows similar conventions, but that's just a hunch.

It helps to provide more information about your X-Type, e.g., the model year. Jaguar modified the wiring harness early 2004, hence two wiring diagrams for 2002-2003 and 2004.25+

Suggestion: Read the front pages of the electrical guide for a lot of useful information & explanations. Color code abbreviations are on page ~10, depending on the guide.

1 character is a solid colored wire. 2 characters is a striped wire, e.g., GR = Green with Red stripe, OY = Orange with Yellow stripe.
