Angry Trans fluids

I know there are a few articles on here about changing trans fluids , but being 73 yo I don't want to try this myself. About 4 years ago I had to replace the trans & transfer case on my 2004 X-type 3.0 Jaguar. You don't want to know what that cost. What do you think the dealer would charge for a trans fluid and filter change and also transfer case fluid change. I'm very gun shy now about the trans and want it to last. thanks -Russ

I think you'll get the dealer standard answer = "they are lifetime fluids, we won't change them".

The gearbox is the exact same gearbox that is installed in the common VW Jetta MK IV. (09A)

The Castrol Transmax Multi-Import fluid is good for the JATCO trans.

Plenty of repair shops can change the fluid.

The transfer case is a different story!!!
