Trying to find out where I can locate the trans serial number.

Looked between the engine and the brake booster, behind the battery and couldn't see anything.

Below is a shot of the location for ID numbers.

 

I know that the panel on the front with the connectors is located towards the front of the car.

With that in mind that would make think the bell housing along with the id code is where the serpentine belt sits? I might just be hallucinating but that's what I'm seeing with that picture.

So that tells me its on the other side of the engine bay, could you tell me landmarks to look for?
