Default RE: Windshield Washer Fluid and cruise control

hey guys, i tried to clean up the reverse switch, and used the paperclip but nothing happened, i realized after doing that for some reasonnow my battery light is on and my windshield washer motor doesn't work??? what happened? did it really mess something up? is there a way to resetthat?

and bojangles, i don't appreciate your tone buddy, just because i am not as knowledgable in cars as yourself doesn't make me any less person than you are. No one is forcing you to read my forums or post a comment for that matter. If you are not going togive any help then don't bother posting your smarta$$ comments...

ok, i took it to autozone and they do a free check on errors, and they said something about air control or air take error or something like that. ANd i also hear a noise and sounds like something is trying to work but it is blocked or something (like a fan trying to turn but it is blocked. i am not sure what's happening... i will try disconnecting the battery and see if that helps.

Can you be a little more descript? The noise is coming from where? In car? Under hood? When you disconnected the switch, is that all you disconnected or did you have to move things to get to it?
Did you happen to write down the code(s) that Autozone gave you?

I am from Muskegon MI, i don't know too much about cars as you all know by now. It is coming from the left side of the engine under the hood. I am not sure what unit that is. It sounds like something is trying to start but then it doesn't and then there is another noise coming from the same area as reverse switch is but it hard to explain and i don't even know if some of these sounds are supposed to be there.

He didn't have a error code, it was a little handheld machine that he hooked right where the passenger fuse box is and said it is something i would have to take it to the dealership...

so yea i am not sure what's wrong and disconnecting the battery didn't do any good.

Well that makes it tough. Make sure that nothing is rubbing g on the water pump or pump belt.
Also make sure that everything is plugged back in and did you take the paperclip out?
Is your car out of warranty?
If you were closer I would have taken a look but 2000 miles give or take isn't feasible.

Sorry this isn't going as planned.

ok so after a very very long nite of frustration and anger, this morning i got up and decided to check all of my fuses to see if i blew a fuse because of shorting a switch, and sure enough i found out that i blew F82 which is related to reverse switch but also tied into other things as well because after replacing the fuse all the funny sounds and battery light went away. Wheeewww!!!!!!

so i am back to the starting point... LOL --> No reverse lights. I am not sure what it could be possibly

mind note to self: do not short any switches or wires. LOL

where can i get that? and is it easy to install? keep in mind it is me that we are talking about when it comes to cars LOL. Or am i going to have to take it in somewhere? I don't want to go to the jag dealership because they seemed very amateur when i stopped there friday. The dude couldn't even enter my vin number right, he went back and forth to the car at least 5 times. I was like: Really? LOL

and then i was trying to get some tabs to hold my vent covers in the dashboard by windshield (since mine are missing) and the parts guy was like well here is the new ones and come to find out they don't even fit there because jag decided abandon the old style so the guy tells me i have to replace both of the covers as well which will be around 200 bucks. I said forget it.

Not to mention on the phone when i called they said the diagnostic check is 50 bucks and after i drove for almost an hour to get there, they said we don't know what you are talking about it has always been 102 and wouldn't want to comprimise. I told myself WOW What a great customer service.... I won't be going there again
