Default wow.. i just got ripped off..

Ok i just found the invoice from wheel shop that straigten my wheels and put new tires.. I suppose to get 3 wheels fix 90$ per wheels = $270 and put 2 new tires 116 per tire = $234 and mount and blance. this is what i paid to owner and thats what he say hes gonna do.. but i found the invoice from glove box ( i guess guy who actually did the work put it in there ).. it says.. fixed 2 wheels for 159$ per wheel and only did 2 and put 2 used tires... wtf??

Did they atleast give a reach around and make sure that you were smiling as you went out the door? Hopefully you got something before hand that said what they were going to do and how much. Then you can hopefully atleast get back some of your money. Unfortunately, if you come in with a Jag and not a lot of car sense, people are going to do whatever they can to separate you from your money. Unfortunately, that is probably the facts of this case.

Hopefully you got a written estimate that you can take back to them and demand that they do the work quoted. If not, I guess the moral to the story is look at the invoice before you pay up. All told, it sounds like you ran into a shady business. You may have some options legally , but without something in writing defining what he was supposed to do for how much, not many.

Just in case...is the invoice in the glovebox actually for your car? I've had mechanics accidentally leave work orders in my car that were for other vehicles.

You should be able to tell if you got used tires or not, and can you tell if they actually fixed all 3 wheels? Should be some tool marks somewhere I would think.

After you look at your wheels/tires, march on back there, show him the other invoice and ask WTF is going on here....

Geez guys, did you ever think it was an honest mistake, like the the owner said these 3 and the guy or someone else thought it was only 2? Weve had the wheel guys refinish the wrong wheels and then have to fix the correct one before. Be glad your didnt go in for a foot amputation for diabetes and they removed the wrong 1

lol....Brutal the voice of reason, good to see you posting.

Perhaps he should follow the procedure they use at hospitals prior to surgery these days - YOU have to mark the correct limb with a sharpie marker before they cut.
