Default X Type Sport Bodykit

I spotted a white X in front of me the other day with the Sport bodykit fitted and fell in love instantly!

I really want one but..... the cheapest I can source the kit for is £700 (about $1150).

Does anyone know if it is at all possible to get this kit any cheaper?
I've spotted a similar kit on ebay for £500 but the lines just arn't as nice as the official one.

I already have the rear boot spoiler fitted so just need the front and rear bumper extensions and the side sills.

Probably not, unless you can luck into finding one in a salvage yard that is undamaged, and then just refinish it to match your car.

Thanks Chris,

That was pretty much the answer I was expecting to be honest but thought I'd try my luck anyway.

Looks like I'll have to start saving then.

I just bought and fitted the front apron from the kit. I love the whole kit on dark-coloured cars, but the sides and rear are too skirty in my opinion on silver and lighter colours.

I got it from Mina Gallery. I painted and installed it myself. Paint is from paintscratch.com. Total cost was around $350 with shipping.

I agree with your statement about the side skirts and rear apron. Kinda gets into the 90's Pontiac style - a little too much.

I wanted a front apron too, but with all the hills around here I clip the front end sometimes as it is. Any lower and I'd tear it up constantly.

Yes, it is easy for a DIY'er in my opinion (assuming you can paint or have it painted). the fitment is so tight (you almost have to fight it a bit) that when you put epoxy on the back of it, it snaps into place. Just leave it overnight to cure the epoxy and you are good to go.

$1150 is a VERY reasonable price for the full kit, really. Here in the US its about $1800 for front, sides, and rear (excluding trunk lid spoiler). I was lucky to get it for about $1200. The other pain is the cost of paint, ran me $900 (including trunk lid spoiler). But at the end, it's so worth it. I took off the front spoiler to get it refinished, hated looking at my car until it was back on.
