Just trying to figure out if the download is more harmful than good for the overall operation of the system. I've heard reports of erratic operation after the "free upgrade" on 2018 MY with 8" touchscreen.

 

I had this same issue on my S9 about 6 months ago but seems to be cured now. No changes to the car. Now appear to be running android 10 on the phone.

I dont think an app is going to fix your problems. It seems to be the bluetooth stack which had the issue as my phone would disconnect from other services too. Try to get an update for the phone.
