Default XE S Price in the US

Hi, I am looking to buy the 2018 XE S model with AWD. The dealers first quote to me is ~57K. What price did you pay - I am assuming that I should be able to get him down to ~50K. Does that sound reasonable or has someone found a better price?

Sounds optimistic to get that much of reduction unless the car has been sitting in the lot for months, and even then I would doubt that much or a discount.

Sounds unrealistic.

Check TrueCar

Also edmunds forum is usually good - if you post there you can get an invoice price on the car and work your way up on the price from there.

My XE stickered for around 65K and got like 3-5K off (can't remember the exact numbers) and that was a great deal at the time. Car was on the lot and I went to a few different dealers.

I got mine for $1000 over invoice, but that was order not off the lot, through USAA (military) buying service.
Deep discounts are usually available from local (Utah) dealer with end of year leftovers.

A new XE S was out of the realm of possibilities for me so I got my local dealers service loaner 2017 XE 35t AWD with only 10k miles for $34,900 in March. I thought this was an incredible deal on a Certified Used car with a perfect service record and impeccable care along with the full factory warranty.
