the 16 XJ traffic is provided by ATT. You need a subscription to ATT in control traffic. It is not free. there is a 3G card installed in the console. I refuse to pay $200 a year to get traffic. It was free for 90 days and then it went away. You have to connect to the ATT wi-fi to get the traffic signal.
