Default 2012 Jaguar XF Lowering Options and Installation

So far I have done everything but suspension. I am contemplating either the Eibach or H&R Springs. I am curious to member feedback with these two manufactures? I also wanted to know if anyone can shed some light on the easiness of installation. I have done springs before and from what I see the front seem pretty simple. Not sure on the rear as I haven't looked into the rear details. Any help would be appreciated.

I would like to know opinions too. I have seen what the H&Rs look like but would like to see the Eibachs as well. Which is lower? Here is the link of the member who has H&R installed with 20" wheels.

I think I will order the H&R. Price is better and from what I am hearing no real noticeable difference in ride between Mina, Spire, Eibach or H&R. My big question is can these be installed easily or is it a huge pain? I got a quote for $400 to install with alignment which seems pretty steep.

I went with the H&R because they were the lowest (height). Springs are pretty simple to install. Just remember to reinstall that small washer on the strut rod.

$400 seems like a good price for labor and alignment. At a dealer you're looking to pay over $400 just for labor only.

I also included instructions for the rears, if you decide to do it yourself.

sir2,

Outstanding. Based off those instructions I think I am ok with doing it. Then take it in for alignment. $400 bucks is worth it considering I am trying to get Jag @ ECU Tuning to do my tune. I can use the extra money. Would you be able to get me a copy of front installation instructions and rear truck trim removal? That would make my life much easier.

Thank You!

Also, where can I find the spring compressor tool in the diagram?

chXFS,

I have rented those before from autozone/ auto parts store. They work a little different but same concept. These ones grab the spring form the outside and compress. But they work and are easy to use.

The only place i have seen the one is the PDF is in Automotive shops.

They sell removal tool kit at Auto parts stores, but i don't recommend using them - way too dangerous.

Remove them from the car and bring them to a shop, let them switch them out for you. It will take them no more than 5 minutes for all 4.
