2012 XF touch screen turning off randomly while driving
My 2012 XF supercharged touch screen has been turning off randomly, turning the car off and on does not help unless you let it sit for a while. It didn’t start untill summer hit this year. Maybe heat related ? It’s been completely random when it turns off. Sometimes within a few minutes and others it stays on the hole drive.
Many help would be appreciated, we all know dealer advice is expensive. Thanks

I just had this problem with touch screen flicker, resetting and turning off along with rear sunshade not working.Put in new AGM battery fixed everything.Next thing i was going to try if the battery did not work the 30 amp fuse in trunk then the Bluetooth module under the seat. But a new battery fixed everything.New battery and Ctek trickle charger for me.A member on here stated that a bad battery will cause all kinds of gremlins and that is correct.I had a old AAA battery from previous owner.Another form member has a thread on hear about the CTEK Charger these cars defiantly need one IMO.
you have a xf and they're known for Bluetooth module failure and many times moisture under drivers seat where Bluetooth, sat etc under drivers seat. water gets there from clogged sunroof drains and or dropped sunroof panel not even with roof and rain overwhelms the drains and goes right down the a post under the carpet and seats. same issue with tpms module under the passenger seat. past this go to dealer and see if there is a communications failure in the system or not. Otherwise Jaguar has software updates to the touchscreen to fix this, freezing up, greyed or black out screens.
I have 2 XF's and a RRS and I have never put any of them on a CTEK or any charger after years. If you definitely need one, then you definitely have a problem with your car that needs fixing (battery, charging circuit, or battery drain) and you're just covering up the problem with a charger and then spreading misinformation about these cars.
The charger is to protect my battery. There is not anymore gremlins after replacing my battery. Iam new to the forums and already seen a few of your post you sound like a real dick head.By the way i can care less about how many cars you have or have had.No one is spreading mis info anything just stating how i fixed my problem. And what i did in my situation.I certainly dont have to brag or list how many car ive had. That nonsense.Get your nose out of the air. There would not be enough room for the cars i have own if i listed them.Car Snob. And by the way on forums people are always safe behind there little keyboard go figure.

The latest posts in thread certainly got me charged up and it's nothing to do with the pro's or con's of CTEK.
We have better standards of behaviour and communication on these forums. One of you has been here long enough to know that and the other should have realised the limits of acceptability were far exceeded.
Two of you with a 7 Day Ban. If you decide to come back at the end of it, THINK before you post or I will be more than happy to make it permanent.

Flickering screen as the system reboots, mine eventually learned out my bluetooth module. Replaced the bluetooth module (No water damage, just went bad) and fiber optic looped out the Sat radio (as I'll never use it and can also be problematic) bluetooth and info center both work great.
