I have a 2013 XF Portfolio 3.0. Recently bought a I-phone 8 and it doesn't work with the car. Does anyone know when Jaguar will upgrade their Bluetooth? Dealership was absolutely no help. Friend has a 2011 Mercedes SUV and his I-phone 10 works just fine.
It should work fine. They are compatible
What's the problem? Can you get BT to connect? Does the phone name display? Where are you getting stuck?

So... Apple acknowledges it won't work in my 2013 XF and the Jaguar dealership acknowledged it won't work. They say the I-Phone 8 and 10 are not compatible with that year. I have asked the dealership when an upgrade will happen and they won't respond. This was a few months ago so I thought maybe this website might help. It's very frustrating. I need a new phone. Any help would be very much appreciated.

I gather it would work OK with a newer XF. Maybe Jaguar will update the older ones (who knows?) but what I don't get is why Apple would release a phone that's not compatible with existing BT. Most people will just suffer, no matter what car they drive.

I have a 2009 and the iPhone 8 and X work fine. Seems highly improbable that a newer car would not work, when an older one does. Maybe another owner can confirm/deny., I think the board would be lit up if this was the case. Have you tried any other phones to see if it is the BT module that has gone T/U maybe? I would not trust Apple to know the answer, they will just look at an old, inaccurate compatibility list and then shrug their shoulders if it isn't 'on the list'. Likewise, I've yet to find a dealer then knows how to spell Bluetooth....

Or maybe there's some kind of reset / unpairing that might work.
Some people have got stuck in the past when pairing got messed up. Try unpairing, delete all paired BT devices from the car. Then soft reset the phone and try to pair again. It really should work. If not, try a different phone - if that doesn't work either then it's the BT module. Under passenger seat (have to remove seat and carpet to access it I think). It's an easy swap. They are known to fail if they get wet and corroded which can occasionally happen at the bottom of the car floorplan

The Jag website on compatibility says that my car will only support up to an iPhone 5s. I know this is BS since before the module failed, I was using a 7plus. Does anyone know if module C2Z18541 when programmed new by a dealer today will support an iPhone X?
