I have this issue as well but its not that noticeable. If it gets worse, I will ask for it to be replaced.

 

As a prospective xf owner, is this not something I should consider a deal killer? This is a pretty big fault in my opinion

 

Well, it's pretty easy to observe if it's happening or not, and by now it probably would have if it is going to. Would it be a deal killer for me? No. I got mine because it had a rippling dash and that allowed me to get a great deal on it because it is such an intimidating issue. I ended up spending around $1000 with the help from Jaguar corporate to get a brand new dash and in the end I got a hell of a steal of a car.

 

This is why I love this site. I was looking at a damage 2010 XF online and while the damage was minimal the passenger airbag cover was badly rippled and I thought maybe it had blown..... the driver steering wheel was perfect so I was kind of perplexed as to why only the passenger side would blow when the damage was on the drivers side rear. Anyway..... now I know and will have to look at this in the future on any XF's I look at for possible purchase.

Mine did also. Fortunately was still under warranty and the dealer ordered and installed a new dash pad. Matched perfectly.
