Default Front Passenger lock actuator

Hi have a 2010 pre facelift Portfolio XF with the dreaded solenoid issue on the actuator of my front passenger door (passive keyless entry). Will unlock if you open it from the door *bypassing the solenoid) but wont unlock from any other door or the remote. I am trying to work out which part fits my car. Jaguar sites point to C2D47285 but a wrecker swears its LR014101. The problem is all Jaguar VIN checks don't have my VIN or cant find my model (Australian). so can't confirm. Appreciate everyone's help here, great forum

Update, rang a Jag dealer in Australia. Whilst the LR code mare work (its just Land Rovers code rather than Jag's) the actual model numbers for the 08-11 XF's are thse 3 (newer to older) incase anyone is chasing the same thing as me. At least for Australian models (mentions we use passive keyless with deadbolt?)

Hi legalis, I've repaired two door actuators on my XF so far. You will save a heap of cash if you get replacement motors for the actuators instead of the whole assembly, getting the mechanism out of the doors is the hard part- they're pretty simple to dismantle and replace the motors. The first one that died in mine, I got sent the mechanism without the keyless entry part and it was not compatible so I dismantled the new one, robbed the motors out of it and fitted them in the old mechanism. Next time around I just bought the motors. I got mine off eBay.

Oh and just to be clear, the locks are not operated by soleniods- they have electric motors with a gear train.

Thanks mate, managed to source an aftermarket actuator for the car for $70AUS so hopefully that does the trick . Jag wants $550 lol

If your vehicle was a direct import to European or RoW (Rest of the World) specification, the regular JLR VIN decode should work. I have a 'sticky' thread in General Tech Help covering the topic.
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/g...tables-145996/

Here's the decode for X250:

A common problem in Australia (and increasingly in the UK) is where a used Jaguar is imported from Japan because the VIN for that market is non standard and I've never been able to find any explanatory documentation from JLR for the system they applied.
