So I finished a F-type R ,cooling upgrade and it's been running perfect for a month now ,so I thought I would do my Xf and film it step by step incase any members want to try ,it's not to hard now I no the tricks to it', so I'll start filming it and posting it for you guys if your intrested,
Im putting a list together for you guys ,the F-typeR I did went well and a month later no issues, now I've done 2 cars its time for mine ,it going to be a lot easier every time
Look forward to seeing your installation video of the cooling bits Dennis. I purchased exactly the same parts and plan to fit up on mine soon. Thanks for reminder on the rear cross over pipe once SC is off to access and replace. (shame this isn't in metal, yet)
Awesome glad everythings going smooth, say I bought all the parts listed and was to take this to JLR, would they attempt this for me or does this go against there beliefs towards the car? how much hours did this take you? Last question, what would be a price if this was done at a dealership or an independent mechanic if JLR wouldn't tackle this job?

I think you will find the JLR dealer will only fit genuine parts and don't allow sourced parts from outside. I tried to get things done by them using non genuine parts or buying second hand genuine parts and they declined. Find a good specialist and i am sure they will do the job and also it will save you $$$$ in doing so
To tackle this job would be a couple thousand dollars, since i did a few videos taking the parts of the engine and replacing them with high performance parts ,i thought i would do video to help those to save money, it looks scary but its not bad at all, especially when i have my wife helping ,she ask a lot of questions while I'm doing the job, i hope you guys don't mind but she want to learn ,because im getting here a F-TYPE R She loves JAAAAAGS
I'm
waiting on one part before i make the video
Here's one the pipes were replacing ,mines fine its the updated plastic ,but i don't trust it and its a easy job to replace it with metal ones ,im putting the videos together
Looking forward to your vids Dennis, definitely another informative and educational way to see improvements to our car's. Thanks in advance. Having your wife along to ask questions and film is a bonus.
Agreed with Nasson! no need to excuse your wifes questions, as all of us are curious and might even have the same questions! Its nice to have a lady that's actually curious and out there with you not only filming but of interest "she a keeper" .
Thanks guys she catches things I miss, I'm blessed ,Happy wife Happy life
Another breakable part came today, only $37 dollars at JAGUAR you must get this part for the expansion tank reservoir hose that breaks in time part number
Hi, is the plastic to metal conversion only for the 5.0?
Has anybody done something similar with the 3.0?
