Hood closed put info system states open - Can't lock car
My car is starting to irritate me.
Within the last 5 days I have been dealing with several annoying electrical faults.
It started with the TPMS really going nuts. Continual sensors going off, all tires, one after the other. And then resetting and starting all over again.
Then the Climate System just grayed out and I could only use the AUTO button and the on/off fan speed dial to control the system. The display was completely grayed out, even the outside temp display was missing. After cycling power a few times that finally started working again.
Now, this afternoon, the info system tells me the hood is open and now won't let me lock the car. I drove it to several places this morning and it was fine. Park in the garage for 3 hours and now it is saying the hood is open.
I have opened and closed the hood several times, made sure nothing is interfering with the latches or hinges but still saying it is open.
Where do I look now?
The dealer is 100 miles away and I can't drive the car anywhere and leave it due to being unlocked.
Anybody know where to look or how to fool it until I can get it to the dealer?

Battery is good.
After looking real close, the bonnet alarm switch is under the driver side latch (on US model cars anyway).
There is a curved spring metal arm that is pressed down by the hood catch when closed. When pressed down it tells the alarm system the hood is closed.
The curved metal arm on mine is collapsed and when the hood is closed it is not pressing down on the curved metal arm enough to give a "closed" signal.
I used a pair of picks, one straight and one curved and held the bottom of the curved arm with the straight pick and used the hooked pick to pull up on the top of the curved metal arm to make the curve wider so the hood latch can press down on the alarm switch more.
As of right now, it is working.

TPMS faulting is very common. Unless recoding at the dealer fixes this I'm afraid the central module is likely faulty.
The hood position sensor problem is likely some grease monkey bending it.
The LCD screen unfortunately may also be faulty and that's pricey to replace.
All this should still be under warranty.
