It stopped while running so won't be a battery issue unless your alternator is not working.

I wouldn't rely on that statement, though it's often true.

11.7V is terrible. Don't be surprised if it's the cause.

Battery fixed, since my battery is only 2 years old and it's the OEM varta i tried a repair before getting a new one, i used a pulse repair device 2 days ago, drove around 40 km yesterday, with the obd dongle disconnected, no stalling issues everything perfect.

Measured the battery today after it's been sitting all night reads 12.6v, the pulse device worked.

But I'm still unsure of the cause, i believe this narrows it down to the obd dongle, has anyone experienced similar with a permanently connected dongle in a xfr. u102768 had similar in an xkr.

I just got an email form the jaguar dealer, confirming that the recall campaign J017 software update has been done to the car so, i can rule that out.

I'm still unsure what might have caused this but, the only thing that could possibly be the culprit is the obd dongle.

I had your issue. I had random shutdown until removed the obd reader and used it only when I need. Haven’t had that issue since.

Lol let’s hope. I never had this issue with any car I’ve owned. Left the reader in my car for a day, next day randomly shut down. Then I took out the reader to use on my other car. Jag drove fine and then I put the reader in to monitor temps.. used it for a day and then shut down. And when it happened the third time I realized what was going on on my car. It doesn’t make sense to me why it happens. But I use it for 5 minutes to monitor temps and then Take it out. Hope that’s all it is for you as well.

What symptoms did you have when it cut out?, Lost power steering?, Lost servo?, Lights flashing in the dash and shifter?
