Question Mystery Clip on Front Pads 2015 XF

I'm trying to help a customer, who seems to think his new brake pads should have these clips on the ears. New pads supplied by the dealer, C2D60995, and the pads I have in stock in Jaguar and various aftermarket don't have these clips. With the EPC still down, we have only the Jaguar Classic page to look at, which shows nothing like this: Xf 2009 - 2015 (x250) / Brake Disc And Caliper-front (luxury, portfolio, premium Luxury,r Sport,se,xfr)(sv8) | Jaguar Land Rover Classic Parts

Just a note?
The JEPC is usable with JPART. This was made by a fellow forum member. It's free to everyone.
It works great too.

JPART to Use JEPC

Sorry that does not answer your question and I don't know what that is for. I first thought a wear sensor or something but that does not look anything like the Jaguar wear sensors. Looking at the diagram in your link I don't see anything close either?

I normally run the subscription EPC since I need the most current info for my business. It has been down the entire month, which is crippling. Since this car is 2015 the last year of XF before the "New XF", a substitute is available from Jaguar Classic, which was the link I provided.
This customer came to me after trying to get the parts from his three local dealers. They can't find any reference and sold him the correct pads for his customer's car. They don't have the clips he thinks he needs. All the various OE and aftermarket pads I have in stock don't have a clip. The shops I talk to every day don't recognize it. I'm getting him to send me a pic of the pads on the car with the clip in place on the caliper to see if this makes more sense.

I think that must be it. Jaguar says they aren't used on that model by VIN but I think everything is screwy with the EPC being down.
Thanks for your help.
