Default New alternator still saying battery not charging

Hello all.. I'm new to this. I have a 2014 xf s portfolio. I recently had battery not changing come up. I had new alternator installed now still say same amd performance loss etc. Apparently the garage said something needs reprogrammed. Is this the case?
I have reduced performance now

Anyone any ideas
Dave

I don't see any connection between the alternator not charging & restricted performance, unless the garage failed to refit a turbo pipe somewhere!

Brilliant. Sounds like the garage haven't followed proper procedure. Thankyou. Makes sense and would explain why still says battery not charging but if I'm understanding the page right. It days would re organise itself

Not resetting the bms would not stop the car from charging, but if the fuselink has blown the car would only charge at 13.7v & the battery warning light would be on. (see page 3).

Ah right. And funnily enough he did say it was 13.something volts. So makes sense. I would've liked to have thought a garage would know that. Excuse my ignorance but where us the fuse link. And I'll tell them in morning in case they dint know

BTW. Thanks for replying to my questions

There's a thin red/blue wire on the battery positive, follow that wire about 5/6 ins & there will be an inline type of fuse, this is the fuselink, that wire feeds the bms on the negative terminal.
